Her educational background is in art with a Bachelor’s

Degree in Studio Art and a Master’s in Education. Her

Master’s Thesis is titled “The Value of Art in the

Elementary Classroom.” She is the author of "Create,

Learn and Grow" and numerous children's books.

As a teacher, with multi-subject and studio art

credentials, she integrated art in the classroom

providing a hands on approach to learning,

encouraging enthusiasm and creative thinking.

She is principally a watercolorist but has a substantial

background in other media such as oils, acrylics, and

color pencils.

Her detailed paintings of Yosemite National Park and the flowers of the Ojai Valley have been praised as “virtual photographs.” Her Yosemite art was exhibited and sold at the Ansel Adams Gallery in Yosemite National Park.

Heidi, also, created and contributed the painting "Namaste" to the Choral Tales Project.
